Limited Interest

I realize that this article is probably only interesting to me, and not the handful of people that manage to suffer through this particular website.

Nevertheless, the video tape recorder is 50 years old this month. On April 14, 1956 the Columbia Broadcasting Company (CBS) gave a private demo of the first video tape recorder.  It was a machine that changed an industry, and preserved moments in time for future generations.
