Tales of the Fedora

Have you ever been at the ocean, and looked out to the horizon?  Ever noticed that a ship just peering over the curvature of the Earth appears like a tiny little speck, slowly growing out of the water as it approaches?

That’s what I think I’m seeing now.  It’s still a long way off, but it might just be something approaching on the horizon.
