Impossible Mission? The Omega13 Story Challenge
My friend Trey and I are having a friendly contest to write a couple of screenplays. We have 60 days, we have to write 13 pages a week, and we’ve each got money in this thing. We’ve each selected storylines for the other, and now we just have to write it.
By the end of April, whoever has a finished screenplay wins. Wins what, you say? Well, we’re not gambling, but we’ve got an agreed upon sum in this and the winner either gets the cash, or something bought with the cash. The loser gets shame, ridicule, and maybe a concussion.

Oh yes, one more thing: Will there be love stories in these scripts? Because there is always a love element, and I wonder why that is. Can there not be a good story without one?

Spring Break: gee, lets think about that … obviously we’ll have to spend at least one day together.
Love Stories:Love stories? You mean like boy meets girl? Or like girl spends the night at the guy’s place (or vice versa)? I guess that depends on the writer. It’s probably too early to think about now. I’m four days down, and I’ve got one page written — long hand — from this morning during my lunch break. Only twelve more pages to go by Thursday.
