Progress Report
So the drawing course is a bit more difficult than I expected. It’s really more of a “jump in the deep end and try to stay afloat” style of teaching.
The screenplay that I’ve been working on for the last few weeks is still slow going. I’ve spent most of the time working on creating the world that the story takes place in. Creating some backstories, creating a basis for how this world works. This is what I steadfastly avoided when I was writing the Mojave story, but that was a contest. Also this story requires a semblance of order and structure. If I just start writing, making things up as I go like the Mojave story, it would quickly fall apart. Yes, I’m going to make mistakes with the story and I’ll need to revise (probably many times) before it’s completely finished, but I’m trying to hammer out some preliminary details that should make the writing process much easier.
And yes, I know that I said all that about the problems with the story, without actually talking about what it’s about. Tough. You’ll have to wait until it’s finished before I start talking about it more openly.

Let’s both lament at the slow writing process… I am so mad at myself. I need to get the lead out. Would a medieval king have lots of advisers, or one main one and a bunch of little ones?

Yes, we shall lament.
I don’t have any research to support this, but I think it would be more Arthurian to have a single counselor in whom he gets the majority of his information, and then other more specialized advisers.

just kidding… mostly.

Hrm. You want a part in the movie, huh? I’d have to see you audition. I can think of a couple of (still as yet unwritten) roles which you could possibly do.

excellent! i didn’t know this was going to be a movie eventually! that’s even better! and auditioning… never really done it before, but that’s fine.
