The Judgment DVD- Progress Report 3

I’ve captured the footage from eight tapes to the hard drive, totalling 98 gigabytes.

I’ve got three (well, maybe 2) more tapes left to capture and then I can begin assembling the footage together, trying to cobble something together remotely resembling the original live production.

I’m remembering how I intended to edit it, based on how I shot it. Audio is going to be a problem, but there wasn’t anything that could have been done about that in the first place, so there’s no point in worrying about it now. I’ve got some interesting ideas on how I want to do some scenes … like the Angel/Demon fight at the beginning and end of the live production. I still have no idea if I’ve got enough coverage to get a two good versions with both sets of daughters played by Amanda, Destiny, Marybeth, and Alexis. I guess if I have to do a non-continuity cut from one girl to another, then so be it. Some of the secondary cast weren’t consistent in their wardrobe, so it’s not like it’ll be the only continuity problem on the DVD.

Should be interesting. Yeah.

I can’t wait to see it. next year you should tell everyone they have to wear the same clothing… it’s their “costume”.

Yikes… I do not envy you. I need a coffee time

Re: costume — I would if I had that sort of power, but it’s Kenny’s show. The most I can do is suggest it to him and let him decide whether to enforce it. The DVD really is secondary to the live performance.

BBuddy: I’ll probably survive. I’ve done far more tedious editing when Trey and I did our television show — that was a chore. Sure there’s more footage this time, but I also have a better handle on what I’m doing now, as opposed to then when we were still learning.

You should probably assert yourself more. Anyway…

We should shoot when I am back for Thanksgiving. Or will you be done with the Judgment before then?

The DVD is secondary yea… but it doesn’t lessen the impact of the show for everyone to wear the same costume… (discounting of course costume malfunctions i.e. The alterations I finally made to Marcus’ so that I wouldn’t kill myself)
