The Long Journey

The first leg of this long journey is now finished. Yes, that’s right, the first draft is written.
True, I didn’t make any post, or update, or even any big fanfare about last week’s installment … I actually spent most of the last two weeks working up how I wanted to end this thing and how to get there.

The 110 page milestone, as well as the completed 120 page screenplay is online in the usual place.

Now I’m going to take some time off from it, and then I can work on the first revision. I’ve got a lot of work on that aspect, but for now, I’ve finally got the story written. As I think about it, it’s not as bad as I was thinking. It’s not perfect, but I think with the revision I can polish it up.

Ah, that satisfying feeling of finishing a long screenplay. 120 pages … that’s gotta be the longest thing I’ve ever written.

Alright, I’m ready to film. Not this, but something. Anything. Give me lines, dress me up, slap makeup on my face and send me in front of the camera. It is time. I am ready. Let’s GO! I am so sick of just sitting here looking out my window wanting something else; something more. Let’s DO this before we both get locked in a cycle of making plans to make plans. I am sick of this! I am sick of the “Trey and I had an idea like that once.” Call the man, get some lights, print a script and meet me on location. LET’S GO

Just remember it’s a _very_ rough draft.
