Space Vacation (revisited)

So a few posts back I mentioned a desire to take a trip to Florida to view a launch of the Space Shuttle. At the time I was hoping for October 8, but that’s in the middle of the week, and it’s a night launch, and it’s still reasonably short notice. Well, since then NASA has published a full flight schedule for the shuttles, and based on that, I’ve decided to aim for attending the launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour scheduled for May 15, 2009. That’s a lot of time to prepare for, and it’s a Friday so more people may be able to go. No idea yet if it’s a day or night launch, and the date is of course subject is change based on the weather, mechanical issues, or unexpected budget cuts.

So that’s the plan. Who wants to go?

I can actually go to that one because the Spring semester will be over by then. So, I’m in!

It is something I am interested in. NASA said this week that the hurricane season has probably changed their schedules. About 2 months before if you let me know I will try and go. I’ve always wanted to see one.
